Forgiveness is the First Win
We’re starting in a place most people avoid. Forgiveness. I wrote a blog back in 2021 about beating procrastination, and I started with forgiveness for a reason. Before strategy. Before discipline. Before planning. Because if you’re still carrying guilt from what you didn’t do…you’re already behind in your mind. And that mindset? That’s what keeps the cycle going. Let’s be real for a second… You’ve said:“I should’ve started earlier.”“I always do this.”“I messed it up again.” That self-talk doesn’t push you forward. It keeps you stuck. Here’s the shift: There’s nothing you can do about yesterday except learn from it. So today, we do this differently. Say it out loud:👉🏾 “It’s okay. I’m trying again.” Not perfect. Not pressure. Just progress. Because trying is the skill you’re building. What forgiveness actually looks like in action: ✔ You missed a day? Don’t miss two. ✔ You fell off your plan? Adjust it, don’t abandon it. ✔ You feel frustrated? Use it as fuel, not proof you can’t do it. You didn’t lose ground, you gained awareness. Maybe: - Your task list was too long - You didn’t prioritize clearly - You need a different rhythm Good. Now you know. Your Win Today: 1. Forgive yourself for one thing you’ve been putting off 2. Write down your top 3 priorities for today 3. Complete ONE before the day ends That’s it. Simple. Intentional. Done. Here is the blog link so you can go deeper on this. Read it. Reflect on it. Apply it. But don’t just read… Start. Because forgiveness isn’t soft. It’s strategic. And it’s how we break procrastination for real.
