📋 Community Rules & Guidelines — Please Read Before Posting
This community exists because navigating a GLP-1 journey can feel overwhelming, isolating, and confusing. We built this space to change that. To keep it safe, supportive, and genuinely useful for everyone — here are the rules. 1. Be Kind. Always. Everyone here is at a different point in their journey. No judgment, no shaming, no comparison. We celebrate each other — full stop. 2. No Medical Advice You can share your personal experience. You cannot tell someone what dose to take, what medication to switch to, or diagnose their symptoms. Always encourage members to consult their doctor. 3. No Spam or Self-Promotion No promoting your own products, services, or communities without admin approval. This includes DMs to members. 4. Keep It Real No made-up statistics, fake success stories, or fear-mongering. We are a science-backed community. If you're sharing information, be ready to back it up. 5. Protect Each Other's Privacy What's shared here stays here. Don't screenshot or share other members' personal stories outside this community. 6. Stay On Topic We're here for GLP-1 support — weight loss, side effects, nutrition, mental health, muscle preservation. Keep posts relevant to the community's focus. 7. No Selling or Soliciting Do not solicit members for any commercial purpose. Violations result in immediate removal. ⚠️ MEDICAL DISCLAIMER This community is for educational and peer support purposes only. Nothing shared here constitutes medical advice. Always consult your doctor or healthcare provider before making changes to your medication, supplement, or health routine. Violations of these rules may result in post removal or being banned from the community. We want this to stay a great space for everyone — thanks for doing your part. 💙

👋 Introduce Yourself — Tell Us Your Story
Every great community starts with a simple hello. So let's do this. I'll go first. Hey, I'm Carlos — founder of The Weekly Dose. About a year ago I started taking Mounjaro after losing someone close to me unexpectedly. It was a wake-up call I couldn't ignore. I knew I had to take control of my health — for myself and for the people I love. Before I started, I spent weeks trying to research GLP-1 medications. And honestly? It was exhausting. Information was scattered everywhere — contradictory, confusing, and overwhelming. I couldn't find one place that just broke it all down clearly. So I built it. The Weekly Dose started in March 2025. Since then I've gone from 390 pounds down to 315 — 75 pounds in a year. My DEXA scan showed almost all of it was fat, with minimal muscle loss. (That one felt really good.) But it hasn't been smooth sailing. The side effects hit me hard early on, and finding reliable guidance on how to manage them was its own battle. That's exactly why this community exists. You shouldn't have to hunt across the entire internet just to feel supported on your journey. Everything you need — science-backed, judgment-free, and real — is right here. Sound familiar? You're in the right place. 💙 Now it's your turn. Drop a comment below and tell us: 1. Your name 2. Where you're at in your journey 3. Which medication you're on 4. One thing you're hoping to get from this community Two lines is plenty. Lurkers welcome too — but say hi first. 😊 I read and reply to every single intro. P.S. — Two house rules: everything here is educational, not medical advice (always talk to your doctor before changing anything), and no selling or med sourcing. And a heads up: likes on your posts earn points, and points unlock the Classroom — the Side-Effect Survival Guide opens at Level 2. Your intro comment below is your first step there. 💙

When did you first notice the food noise go quiet?
This week we talked about food noise going quiet — that moment you realize it's 2 PM and you haven't thought about lunch once. For a lot of us, food wasn't only fuel. It was comfort, celebration, the thing we reached for when we were bored or stressed. When the noise fades, that space can feel freeing and a little strange at the same time. When your food noise got quieter, what showed up in the space it left behind — and how are you filling it? (Sharing experiences only — we're not giving medical advice here, just learning from each other.)
