When I make my YouTube channel, I plan for it to be artistic. I'm unsure what my niche is at the moment, but I'm pretty sure that I want to post stories and creative things like that. I may also be a sort of story time YouTuber??? I don't know I'm still trying to figure things out. Basically, when I come up with my channel, and really when I start putting my art out there in general, should I use an artist name?
I've heard about the pros and cons of using an artist name for the creative stuff you do. A pro is that it separates your creative life from your personal life, making things a little more private. A con is that it isn't as professional. I've even considered making a separate email address for the comics I make if I do decide to use my art name.
If I do come up with an art name, I'm pretty sure it would be Nebula because it's a nice word, it's related to space, and they're one of the most beautiful parts of space. My concern is it's closely related to the character in Marvel whose name is also Nebula XD, but that likely isn't as big of a deal. So I guess the purpose of this post really isn't voice acting related, but here's the main question: should I use an art name for my creative stuff, or to keep it more professional use my real name?
