Ingredients (all vegan, dried herbs)
- 1 tablespoon calendula
- 1 tablespoon lavender
- 1 tablespoon rose petals
- 4–6 cups hot water
Optional:
- 1 teaspoon chamomile (if not allergic)
These herbs are chosen for calming and skin-soothing properties — not cleansing.
How to Do It Safely
- Boil water and pour over herbs in a heat-safe bowl.
- Cover and steep 10 minutes.
- Let it cool until steam is warm — not hot.
- Sit over the bowl (or use a sitz bath basin).
- Drape a towel around your waist to contain steam.
- Steam 5–10 minutes max.
Never steam internally. No essential oils. No vinegar. No aggressive herbs.
Do NOT Steam If:
- You have an active infection
- You’re pregnant
- You have open cuts or irritation
- You’re prone to yeast infections
- You’re on your period (unless advised by a clinician)
Real Talk
If your goal is:
- 🌸 Odor → check for imbalance (BV is common)
- 💫 “Detox” → not a real vaginal need
- 🧘🏽♀️ Relaxation ritual → fine, keep it external and gentle
- 🩸 Cycle support → hydration, nutrition, stress management matter more
