Most of my life has been spent diagnosing and maintaining classic and race-built vehicles, from early hands-on rebuilding work to many years servicing Ferrari, Alfa, Maserati, Porsche, Lotus, and other performance cars. I now manage a private collection that races and tours across the U.S. and Europe.
Problems are solved by slowing down, learning how the system works, and thinking through the symptoms. We talk through real issues: drivability problems, carburetion and ignition questions, setup and tuning, avoiding the kinds of mistakes that cost time and money.
You don’t need to be an expert to be here, just willing to learn and do things the right way. When you post, include what car you’re working on, what you’re seeing, and what you’ve already tried. Photos or short videos always help.
I’ll answer what I can, when I can, and I’ll be straight with you. The goal is to help you think through problems the way an experienced mechanic does.
