Pull up a stool, and talk shop about vintage high-performance cars.
Hello, I’m Bill. I started this space to help take some of the mystery out of working on old-school, vintage high-performance cars. I’ve spent most of my life around these machines, and I’ve learned that a lot of frustration comes from not knowing where to start or what actually matters when something isn’t running right. My goal here is to help you think through problems, understand what you’re seeing, and keep these cars running the way they should. If you’re new, say hello below. Let me know where you’re from and what’s sitting in your garage right now — even if it’s still in pieces. Read through the Front Counter, The Shop Floor, and The Bench to determine what level best suits your needs. Glad to have you here, Bill

The Bench - Let's solve the problem
The Bench — Let's solve the problem - This space is for deeper diagnostic discussion and focused problem-solving. - Members here get priority responses and more detailed guidance. - Please keep one main issue per thread so things stay clear. - Include as much detail as you can: car, setup, symptoms, recent changes. - Photos or short videos are strongly encouraged. - Responses may take time, but questions here are handled before others. - Be respectful of everyone’s time — this is a working bench.

Shop Floor Guidelines
Shop Floor Guidelines - This space is for real questions and real work on vintage high-performance cars. - Include details when posting: car, year, symptoms, and what you’ve already tried. - Photos or short videos help when available. - Be specific — vague questions are hard to answer well. - Respect different experience levels and keep discussions civil. - Advice here is guidance, not a substitute for hands-on inspection. - Replies may take time; thoughtful answers matter more than fast ones.

Front Counter - How this works:
Welcome to the Front Counter. This is the place to step in, look around, and get a feel for how the shop runs. You’re welcome to: - Introduce yourself - Share where you’re from - Say what you’re driving or working on - Read through posts and conversations - Get familiar with how questions are handled here The Front Counter is meant for orientation and conversation, not full diagnostics. To keep things running smoothly, detailed technical questions, troubleshooting, and in-depth help are handled inside the member areas. That gives the time and space needed to think things through properly. If you’re new, start by posting a short introduction — what you’re driving, what you enjoy working on, or what brought you here. There’s no rush and no pressure. Take a look around, get comfortable, and when you’re ready to go deeper, the Shop Floor and Bench are there for more hands-on discussion. Glad you’re here. — Bill
