The KPI Mindset
If Development Isn’t Measured, It’s Guessing One of the biggest mistakes athletes make is training without tracking progress. You can’t improve what you don’t measure. Every serious athlete should know their development numbers. Key metrics I tell athletes to track: • Exit Velocity • Pitch Velocity • Sprint Speed • Bat Speed • Strength numbers These numbers tell the real story of development. When athletes track their numbers, two things happen: 1. Training becomes more focused 2. Progress becomes visible This is why structured development systems outperform random training. Numbers create accountability. And accountability drives improvement.
