Welcome
Welcome to The URC 👇 First off I just want to say welcome. The URC is where recovery meets real life. This space is for people who’ve had enough of surface-level talk and want to actually understand themselves, rebuild from the inside out, and move forward with purpose. Here, we dive into how the mind works, the stories we live by, and how to start taking ownership of both. You’ll find real conversations, tools that actually help, and a community of people walking the same path honest, imperfect, and committed to growth. Before you start jumping into the classroom, take a minute to introduce yourself below 👇Share a bit about who you are, what brought you here, or what you’re hoping to work on. And if you feel like you want to dive deeper into things.. you can book a call here and we’ll have a proper chat: https://calendly.com/crowetony64/30min Glad you’re here. Tony

Day 28: Your environment matters more than motivation
You can’t heal in the same conditions that keep your nervous system on high alert. This includes: - people who keep you braced - spaces that trigger overwhelm - routines that reinforce survival mode This isn’t about cutting everyone off or blowing up your life it’s about adjusting the inputs. Small environmental changes can create big internal shifts. Reflection:What in your current environment helps you feel regulated — and what quietly keeps you on edge?

Day 28: Your environment matters more than motivation
Day 27: First thoughts cause problems
That automatic voice formed when your nervous system was under pressure it’s fast, loud, and familiar not because it’s right, but because it once protected you. You don’t need to argue with it. You just need to pause before obeying it. That pause is where choice lives. And choice is where identity starts to change. Reflection:What does your first thought usually say and what might be possible if you didn’t take it as fact?

Day 26: Recovery is not linear.
The nervous system learns through repetition, not perfection.Stress will happen. Triggers will happen. Old patterns may show up. That doesn’t mean you’ve gone backwards. What matters is the after: - how you talk to yourself - how quickly you regulate - whether you stay engaged or disappear Shame turns setbacks into collapses.Compassion turns them into learning. Reflection:When something goes wrong, what’s your first move attack yourself or support yourself? Tony

Day 26: Recovery is not linear.
Day 25: The one rule.
One rule for change: do the opposite (small). The old you: - reacts fast - avoids discomfort - chooses relief over regulation Not because you’re broken because that’s how you survived. Growth starts when you interrupt the pattern: - pause instead of react - stay instead of escape - tell the truth instead of people-pleasing Not dramatically. Not perfectly. Just slightly different. Those small opposites create new identity evidence. Reflection:What’s one tiny moment this week where you could do the opposite of the old reflex?
