Death Coach - Your thoughts
I was looking for my "edge," but it was staring me right in the face.
I was having coffee with a friend, explaining how I wanted to stand out from the sea of life coaches. Here is how it went:
Me: "I’m trying to find my niche as a Transitional Coach..."
Her: "But you have! You’re a Death Coach."
I stopped "dead" in my tracks. 🛑
The lady at the next table gave us a massive side-eye, but my friend was right. While I have been tiptoeing around the "right" words to not scare people off, she just named it.
As an End-of-Life Doula and Trauma Debriefer, that is my superpower. I am a Death Coach.
It’s not about doom or scary cloaks. It’s about being the person who handles the hard stuff. It’s about helping you unpack, process, and find your balance, whether we are planning a legacy, navigating bereavement or simply trying to breathe through a tough moment.
We are all "dying"; some just closer than others, we have mini deaths throughout our lives. Death is our only certainty, yet we stay silent.
I am here to break that silence and make the conversation less scary, more open, more kind, more gentle, more normal.
Be honest: When you hear "Death Coach," do you feel a sense of relief, or do you want to give me the "side-eye" too?
