How to Sacrifice | 80/20 Applied to Self-Transformation
May is coming next week and I have been thinking about my goals.
I feel like I am falling behind my 2025 goals so I will use May to turn that around.
It is very possible to get 4 months of results in only 1 month if we learn to give up the 80% that doesn't serve us and focus on the 20% required for transformation.
I made a list of all the things to stop doing. This will give me more time and energy to put towards the things that should be done.
Some things that I will stop are:
  • Eating bad food
  • Sleeping in
  • Watching movies, tv
  • Watching true crime on Youtube
  • Using social for personal reasons
  • etc etc
Then I made a list of the 20% of tasks that I should be doing to get the results that I want.
Some tasks include:
  • Working out, core, stretch, breathwork aerobics
  • Visualization
  • Strict morning ritual
  • Limited study
  • Massive implementation of what I study
  • Dopamine detox
  • Waking up from drifting/taking intentional action/keeping my attention in the center
  • etc etc
By doing this I expect to have a rapid transformation in only one month.
---------------
The overall concept of this is based on the 80/20 principle.
I like to look at it like this: How can I get a lifetime of results in 3 years? How can I get 4 months of results in 1 month? How can I get one quarter of results in one week?
By thinking like this, I can't be doing the same things. I can't do more of what I'm doing because I have no time and none of those things will get me there.
You can't get exponential results taking linear action.
