Hey beautiful families, Start Here!
Hi, I'm Mollie, a homeschooling mama located in California, juggling three active kiddos (11 months, 6 yrs & 11yrs old) and way too much flour on my countertops 😄 Like you, I wanted homeschool to feel joyful and connected not overwhelming. That's why I created this cozy spot. A place where busy moms (and our TK–12th graders!) turn simple sourdough baking into magic learning moments with bubbly science, sneaky math, tasty history, life skills, and the easiest discard recipes that actually get eaten. Quick intro from me: I'm obsessed with how fermentation teaches patience (and saves money on bread, snacks, treats and so much more!) My kids love the "science experiments" that end in fresh-baked treats And honestly? Nothing beats the smell of rising dough or fresh baked goods while we chat about our day. Now it's YOUR turn! Drop a comment below and tell us: - What grade(s) are your homeschool kiddos in? - What’s one thing you're most excited about with sourdough homeschooling (or one worry you have, let’s troubleshoot together!)? ** Bonus: Share your city/state or a fun fact about your family, we’re building a sweet little map of baking buddies! I can't wait to meet each of you, cheers to your wins, and swap tips. Grab a mug of tea (or coffee, mom fuel!), and let's get this kitchen party started. You're not alone here and there is no judgment, welcome home! 🥖✨ Much love, Mollie Founder & Fellow Flour-Dusted Mom The Sourdough Academy

I have linked the recipe here for you all to try. Let me know if you make them this week. Take a picture and post it to the comments! I can't wait to see.

Free Recipe: Cheesy Garlic Sourdough Discard Flatbread
This recipe is simple, beginner-friendly, uses common pantry ingredients, tastes amazing, and highlights the “zero-waste” magic of discard. I hope you can enjoy it with a meal you make this week. Feel Free to ask any questions. With Love & Happy Baking, Mollie
Just a Quick & Exciting Update! 📣🍞
Big news, mamas! The 4th–8th Grade Sourdough Curriculum is now live in the Classroom!! 🎉 I’ll be adding a few FREE recipes this week too. Any particular discard goodies you’d love to see? Drop your requests below! And please, please, if you have a favorite sourdough or discard recipe your family raves about, share it here in the community. We’d all love to try them together. Also… I’m thinking about hosting a casual LIVE soon just to chat, hear what you’re loving (or wanting more of), and make this space even better for all of us. Would you be up for that? Let me know your thoughts! So excited to keep baking & learning together. Love you all, Mollie ♥️
