What Should We Make First? 👀🧪
Okay, founding members, this is where you get some power. Before I start deciding what the first official Snack Lab projects should be, I want to hear from you without giving you a list of options first. If you could open the Classroom tomorrow and find ONE complete class waiting for you… What would you want me to teach you how to make? It can be anything that belongs in The Snack Lab: 🍫 Candy bars & chocolate 🧁 Nostalgic snack cakes 🍪 Cookies & baked snacks 🍦 Frozen treats 🥐 Pastries & bakery favorites 🧪 A specific technique you want to master 👀 Or something completely different that you think I need to recreate Be specific! Don’t just say “chocolate.” Tell me “I want to learn how to make a filled chocolate bar with a soft caramel center.” Don’t just say “cake.” Tell me “I want to make homemade Zebra Cakes.” I’m going to use your answers to help narrow down what we make first, and then we’ll vote. 🗳️ One request per person. What are you putting on the Lab table? 👇🏾

Introduce Yourself! 👋
Alright, I know who I am. 😂 Now I want to know who’s actually in the Lab with me. Drop an introduction below and tell us: 🧪 Your name + where you’re from 🍪 What you love making (or eating 👀) 👨🏾‍🍳 Your experience level: just starting / comfortable in the kitchen / experienced / professional 🎯 One thing you REALLY want to learn how to make 😩 Something in the kitchen that always gives you trouble And you absolutely do not need to be an experienced baker or candy maker to be here. If your current skill level is “I own a whisk,” we can work with that. 😂 I’ll go through these too because I want to know what everybody’s interested in and where I can actually help. Don’t be shy, introduce yourself below! 👇🏾

Welcome to The Snack Lab
You’re officially in the Lab. 👀 First of all, thank you for being here, especially this early. You’re one of the founding members of The Snack Lab, which means you’re not just joining a finished community. You’re actually going to have a hand in shaping what this becomes. If you haven’t already, your first stop should be the 📍 START HERE section in the Classroom. It’ll give you a quick rundown of how everything works and what to do first. After that: 👋 Introduce yourself in Introductions 💡 Tell me what you want to learn in Requests & Ideas 🆘 Use Help & Troubleshooting whenever something in the kitchen has you ready to throw it across the room 😂 📸 And PLEASE show us what you’re making in What I Made Over the next few weeks, we’ll start choosing our first projects, getting into classes, experimenting, troubleshooting and figuring out what you guys want more of. And because you’re here from the beginning, I want your feedback. If there’s something you think would make The Snack Lab better, tell me. This is a lab. We’re allowed to experiment. 🧪 Welcome in. Let’s make something ridiculous.

🧪 NEW IN THE SNACK LAB: SNACK LAB RECIPES!
Not every experiment needs an entire course, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to share the recipe with you! I’ve added a new Snack Lab Recipes section to the Classroom for all of my smaller experiments and one-off recreations. These will include the complete recipe, instructions, and any notes I learned while testing. And we’re kicking it off with Cosmic Brownies! 🌈🍫 These are super fudgy chocolate-chip brownies topped with a cooked chocolate fudge icing that sets into a dense, matte finish. Recipe #001 is in the Classroom now! Full Copycat Courses aren’t going anywhere—this is just a new way for me to give you even more recipes between the bigger projects. 🧪

🧪 Weekend Lab Check-In: What Are You Making?
What are y’all making this weekend? 👀 This weekend I’m making Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Bars! 🍓🍦 I know that sounds crazy since summer is ending 😂 but it won the poll by a LANDSLIDE, so y’all made this decision, not me! I’m actually planning on making my crème anglaise today, letting it chill overnight, and churning the ice cream tomorrow. Then we’ll see where this experiment takes us. 🧪
