How to Advocate for Yourself During Your Postpartum Recovery
What if the most powerful thing you could do for your postpartum recovery had nothing to do with supplements or sleep schedules — but everything to do with your nervous system? In this conversation, Emily sits down with her friend Mandy to talk about one of the most overlooked aspects of postpartum healing: self-advocacy and nervous system regulation. They explore what it really means to de-stress after birth, how your imagination can actually trigger a physical relaxation response in your body, and why a regulated mother is one of the greatest gifts she can give her children. If you've been pushing through the exhaustion, skipping the rest, or struggling to ask for help — this one's for you. In this video: - What self-regulation actually means (and why it matters postpartum) - How to use visualization to calm your nervous system - The powerful connection between a mother's regulation and her child's emotional wellbeing - How to advocate for the support you need during your sitting month 🌸 Want personalized support during your postpartum recovery? Direct Message Emily Montague. 🌸 Share what helps you to self regulate (calm down and reconnect with yourself) as a mom, we want to hear your ideas. 🌸 Your ideas will help a stuck mom.

How to Advocate for Yourself During Your Postpartum Recovery
If something has to change, this is where it starts.
As a respiratory therapist, Kelsey, who spent 12 years helping premature babies survive their first moments of life, she knew how to show up for everyone else. But when the hardest year of her life arrived, she didn't know how to show up for herself. That's when everything changed. She discovered that the way out wasn't found in her circumstances — it was found in her mind. It started with awareness. Noticing the thoughts that were running on repeat and recognizing how they were shaping her reality without her permission. Then came a choice. What picture did she actually want to see for her life? What did she want to feel? She learned to sit with that vision — not just think it, but feel it emotionally as if it were already true. And then the hardest part. Surrendering. Releasing the grip on everything she was trying to control, and trusting God to move on her behalf. Today Kelsey helps other women do the same — and in this conversation, she's bringing that framework straight to postpartum mamas who are ready to stop surviving and start stepping into who they were created to be. If something has to change, this is where it starts. 🌟Find her on instagram @behaven.with.kelsey🌟

What Your Baby Absorbed During Birth — And How to Clear It
In this conversation I sit down with Emanuel Zevallos, founder of Compass Healing Center — the highest-rated Emotion and Body Code practice in the country. Emanuel brings a depth of knowledge about how trapped emotions and energetic imbalances affect the body in ways most conventional approaches never address. We dive into something that doesn't get talked about nearly enough — the energy a baby absorbs from their mother during pregnancy and birth. Every fear, every moment of overwhelm, every unprocessed emotion from that experience gets stored, and it doesn't just stay with mom. Your baby feels it too. But here's what I want you to understand: when a mother clears her trapped energy, she doesn't just heal herself. She shifts the entire family dynamic. A mother is the emotional heartbeat of her home. When she is stuck, everyone around her feels it — her baby, her partner, her other children. And when she clears it, that ripple effect is profound. Clearing the mother is the most vital piece of the puzzle, and this conversation will show you exactly why. Watch the full interview above and then ask yourself — what might still be stored in your body from your birth experience? If you're ready to find out and finally clear it, I work with postpartum mothers one on one using these exact tools. Sessions are available by phone or email, and we work in packages so we can address the layers that need clearing over time. Your first step is an introductory appointment where we identify what your body is ready to release. This hand in hand with The Sitting Month, will greatly enhance your postpartum recovery. 👉 Book your introductory session today, message me directly, and let's get you from surviving to thriving — for you and for your whole family.
