Welcome to November sewing friends! 🧵As I mentioned in my post yesterday, life has been quite an uphill climb over the past six weeks! I won't bore you with every little detail, but let's just say it's been A LOT. In the past month and a half, my hubby and I have facilitated FIVE weekend marriage enrichment retreats in different states, hosted the whole family for a baby shower and a little family vacation to Disney, walked alongside a close family member who experienced a significant financial scam, welcomed our SIXTH grandbaby 👶🏻 (who is still in the NICU but making improvements every day), and even managed to get the dog neutered. 🐶 And that's on top of our regular W-2 jobs, meals, laundry, and all the other little things that must be done to keep life moving! Somewhere along the way, I hit a wall. I realized that something had to give, and I needed to take a step back, reevaluate my priorities, and make room for where I was needed most. So, I made the decision to take October off from sewing content and community activities. It wasn't necessarily an easy choice, but it was the right one for this season. I'm not whining (well, maybe just a little 😉), but I am acknowledging to both you and myself that I am only human! Sometimes we have to recognize our limits, adjust our expectations, and give ourselves permission to be present in the moments. It was a much-needed opportunity to regroup and be more present with my family, but I'll confess... I missed being here with all of YOU, too! I'm excited to be back and will do my best to find a sustainable rhythm that allows me to keep showing up for my sewing family while still tending to all the other moving parts of life. A LITTLE SEWING NEWS! 🎥 I also took a short break from YouTube and my other social media channels, but I'm back with a new video! While traveling for one of our Marriage Weekends, I realized we were near one of the newest Michaels Next Gen pilot stores. Well, you know I couldn't pass up that opportunity! I took you along for a tour so we could see what all the fuss is about.

Happy Sunday everyone and welcome to NOVEMBER! I just wanted to pop in here and let you all know that I am still here. Life has been especially trying lately and I have been unable to be online much at all. I will be restarting the posting here in the community beginning tomorrow morning with Monday Announcements. In the meantime I just wanted to say that I’ve missed all of you and I’m excited to jump back in. See you tomorrow!

Good morning and Happy Monday sewing friends!! I don’t have much to announce today but I wanted to pop in and say Hi and wish you all a blessed week ahead. Today’s prompt is:Sewing Confession. I hesitated for half a second sharing this here because I want all of you to learn to sew CORRECTLY and not start out with bad habits. SO this is definitely one of those cases where I offer the proverbial “Do as I say not as I do” advice. Of course, I KNOW that everyone develops habits and shortcuts as they go along and we all develop methods that work for our individual styles. HOWEVER, learn the correct Way first. OK stepping down from my “sewing box” Again I hope you all have the best week ever! 💕
