🚑 CPR: Common Mistakes vs. Correct Steps
Knowing CPR can save a life—but only if it’s done correctly. ❌ Common CPR Mistakes - Not pushing hard or deep enough - Compressing too fast or too slow - Not allowing full chest recoil - Stopping compressions too often - Incorrect hand placement - Giving too many or forceful breaths - Waiting too long to start CPR - Not using an AED when one is available ✅ Correct CPR Steps (Adult) 1️⃣ Check for scene safety and responsiveness 2️⃣ Call 911 or have someone else call 3️⃣ Begin chest compressions immediately - Hands in the center of the chest - Push hard and fast - 100–120 compressions per minute - Depth: about 2 inches - Allow the chest to fully recoil 4️⃣ Give 2 breaths after every 30 compressions (if trained) 5️⃣ Minimize interruptions for no more than 10 seconds 6️⃣ Use an AED as soon as it’s available and follow the prompts 7️⃣ Continue until help arrives or the person shows signs of life 💬 Call to Action Comment below: When was the last time you practiced CPR? CPR skills fade—refreshing them saves lives.

Preparedness Isn’t Fear — It’s Awareness
🚨 Most people think preparedness means panic. It doesn’t. Preparedness is about awareness, not fear — the same calm, repeatable mindset we teach in CPR and first aid. That’s why I just launched Everyday Safety & Security Preparedness inside this community. This course is for everyday people who want to: - Feel more confident in public spaces - Notice problems early instead of reacting late - Stay calm and think clearly when something unexpected happens No paranoia, no tactical nonsense. Just real‑world awareness that fits normal daily life. ✅ Lesson 1 is live: The Preparedness Mindset✅ Lesson 2 is live: Situational Awareness in Everyday Life 💬 Question for you: What’s one place you go every day where you never think about exits, awareness, or safety? 👇 Drop it in the comments — I’ll reply to every one.
