Homemade Onion Jam
Get a small pot. Dice a large onion. 1-2tbsp butter on medium heat. When melted, add onions. cook for 5-10 mins, depending on how much you like your onions cooked/browned. Add 1 TBSP balsamic vinegar 1 Tbsp brown sugar 2 Tbsp water salt and pepper to taste 6 Tbsp Ketchup 1 Tsp Tabasco sauce. Increase heat to med-high and boil 6-8 mins to thicken while stirring, if it starts burning to the bottom, reduce heat. If too watery, cook longer. Spoon onto food while still warm or put into a jar or container and allow to cool to room temperature before refrigerating.

Back on Track
I hope everyone is feeling like life is back to normal (well, as normal as December can be). Thanksgiving leftovers are finally all gone. The dogs were happy to oblige. Two days with some detoxing recipes has really helped. Are you feeling like you are back on track in the kitchen and with work?
Post 🦃 Turkey Indulgence
Tell me I am not alone. I throughly enjoyed the time with family and friends but as usual, we overdid it with how much food we cooked. Leftovers are starting to clear out and I'm craving some good fresh detoxing foods and soups. @Lisa Z just shared a cilantro salad recipe that sounds both cleansing and refreshing. I can't wait to try it tomorrow. What about you? Do you have any favorite cleansing foods to counteract the heaviness that Turkey Day indulgence can bring?

Two elements make this sweet potato casserole irresistible
Years ago when Michael and I were newly married and he was working at his first real job after college, he 'volun-told' me to make a recipe I knew nothing about for his company's Thanksgiving dinner. Years later, what I learned from that dumb luck creation led to one of my family's favorite casseroles on our Thanksgiving table. I just posted the recipe on YouTube.
