Black Friday Shopping for Old Favorites
Black Friday shopping just doesn't excite me like it used to. Is it age or am I just more content? I found myself this evening looking through Ads and listening to my adult children for clues regarding Christmas gifts. The one thing my daughter mentioned wanting was a Turkish coffee pot like the one I have had in my kitchen for the past 24 years.
It's a small simple little pot that has served many many purposes, but rarely to make Turkish coffee. I've melted butter, whipped up dressings, whipped cream for coffee, created sauces and boiled eggs in this slender high walled gem. This little pot is probably the most used of kitchen tools I have ever owned. A real work horse.
Do you have a favorite tool or gadget in your kitchen that holds a similar status? Something that you use daily if not multiple times daily, and if you lost it, you would search wide and far for a replacement?
Thankfully, I found one for my daughter. Shhhhhhhhhh....don't mention it to her.
This is the pot I found for her. It's almost identical to the one I've owned since she was a child. I am excited for her to have one for her own kitchen and family. (*Full disclosure, this is an affiliate link in case you are interested)
It's a small thing, but I know it will mean a lot to her. Simple gifts like this are the kind I love to give.
