The Healing Circle – Group Guidelines & Ground Rules
To ensure that The Healing Circle remains a safe, sacred, and supportive space for all, we ask that all participants honor the following: 1. Confidentiality is Sacred What is shared in the circle, stays in the circle. Please do not repeat or discuss another participant’s story outside of the group. 2. Honor Each Person’s Process There is no “right” way to grieve. Everyone’s journey is unique. We respect each person’s experience without judgment or comparison. 3. Speak from the “I” Perspective When sharing, speak from your own experience (e.g., “I feel…” or “In my journey…”), rather than giving advice unless it’s invited. 4. No Fixing, Only Holding Space This is not a space to fix others’ pain. Instead, we hold space—listening with empathy, offering presence, and allowing silence when needed. 5. One Voice at a Time Please allow each person to finish sharing before responding. Avoid interrupting or side conversations. 6. Participation is Optional You are welcome to share, or simply sit and listen. Your presence alone is powerful. 7. Stay Present & Respectful Please silence your phone, avoid distractions, and stay engaged. Respectful language and tone are expected at all times. 8. This is a Judgment-Free Zone All feelings are valid here—anger, sadness, guilt, numbness, or joy. We welcome vulnerability without shame. 9. Time Boundaries Will Be Honored Sessions will start and end on time. If you arrive late, please enter quietly. We honor the space and each other’s time. 10. This Group is Supportive, Not Therapeutic While healing is a goal, this is not a therapy session. Those needing additional mental health support will be provided with referrals.
