Question of Today: Question: What are some interesting facts about Tarot & What inspired you to start your Tarot Journey? Drop your answers below: Interesting Fact: Fun Tarot Fact: Tarot has a specific intellectual history worth knowing The cards weren't originally mystical — they were playing cards in 15th-century northern Italy. The occult associations came centuries later, primarily through French Esotericists in the 1700s–1800s who retrofitted the cards with Kabbalah, astrology, and Hermetic symbolism. Knowing this history doesn't undermine tarot — it actually deepens it, because you can see what layers of meaning were deliberately built in and why. What inspired me to start my Tarot Journey: Started journey to get to know the cards and my history/genealogy.
