Welcome
Welcome to The Quiet Way. If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’ve felt some version of this: - “What if I’m not really saved?” - “Why does church culture make me feel more distant from God?” - “Why do certain Bible passages terrify me instead of draw me closer?” - “Am I backsliding??” This space exists because those questions are more common than we admit, and far too often they’re met with silence, pressure, or shallow reassurance. A few things to be clear from the start: - We respect Scripture deeply here - We do not bash churches, denominations, or people - We don’t casually declare who is or isn’t saved - We acknowledge the importance of church while also acknowledging seasons This community is about returning to biblical clarity, not cultural expectation. You are allowed to: - Ask careful questions - Sit with uncertainty - Learn context instead of living in fear - Rest without pretending you’re “fine” We’ll talk about: - What salvation actually is - Why some passages are commonly misunderstood - The difference between warning and condemnation - What it means to walk faithfully without noise Most of all, this is meant to be a quiet place. Not passive. Not shallow. Just steady. Take your time. Read. Breathe. You’re not behind. And you’re not alone.

A note of accountability, direction, and grounding
I want to acknowledge this plainly: I’ve been quieter than I should have been here. That’s on me. This space exists for alignment, discipline, and steady obedience, not noise or hype. When presence drops, momentum fades. I don’t want that for this community, and I don’t want it for myself. So this is a reset. Scripture is clear about the kind of faith we’re aiming for: “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9 The Quiet Way isn’t about intensity. It’s about faithfulness. Showing up when it’s inconvenient. Obedience in the unseen. Trusting that God works through consistency more than emotion. “Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much.” — Luke 16:10 Here’s what I’d like you to do today: 1. Post one thing you’re being faithful with right now A habit, a discipline, a decision, or an area you’re surrendering to God. One sentence is enough. 2. Encourage one other person No fixing. No advice unless asked. Just edification. “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11 3. Take one quiet act of obedience offline Prayer, Scripture, movement, journaling, preparation—something intentional. Then come back and comment “Done.” “Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 I’m here again, engaged, accountable, and moving forward with you. Not perfectly. Faithfully. We walk the narrow path. Quietly Together

Scripture vs Human expectations
I grew up in an Open Brethren church. I want to be clear about this. I’m genuinely grateful for that. It grounded me in Scripture, taught me to take the Bible seriously, and gave me a framework that I still carry. That matters to me. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve had to learn how to separate what the Bible actually says from what well-meaning Christians sometimes expect. Not because anyone was trying to be controlling. Not because the church was “bad”. But because human systems naturally form expectations that Scripture itself doesn’t always place on people. The Bible is very clear about some things. Salvation is rooted in grace, not performance. “For by grace you have been saved through faith… not by works.” (Ephesians 2:8–9) But human expectations often creep in where faith becomes about consistency, visibility, and momentum. Scripture talks about growth very differently. “Only God gives the growth.” (1 Corinthians 3:7) There are seasons where nothing looks impressive on the outside, and yet something real is happening underneath. Rest isn’t framed as failure in Scripture. “Come to Me, all who are weary.” (Matthew 11:28) “There remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.” (Hebrews 4:9) Struggle isn’t treated as disobedience. “A bruised reed He will not break.” (Isaiah 42:3) And faithfulness isn’t always loud or busy. “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10) What I’ve had to unlearn is the idea that: if you’re quiet, tired, or unsure, you must be doing something wrong. Scripture doesn’t support that. Learning to lay down human expectations hasn’t made my faith weaker. It’s made it steadier. Slower. More honest. That’s the space The Quiet Way exists in. Not rejecting Scripture. Not rebelling against the church. But letting the Bible speak more clearly than the noise around it. If you disagree with something I’ve said or believe I’ve taken scripture out of context, I urge you to message me, as these things are very important to me.
