Thanks to everyone who joined our first Sentinel Office Hours today. Really useful discussion and exactly the kind of feedback I want as we build Sentinel together. A few key takeaways: 🏠 Appraisal template naming We discussed making the appraisal template names much clearer, so there's no ambiguity around which template you should use for which property type or strategy. We'll look at improving the naming and guidance around this. 📍 Removing the postcode constraint This was the big one. At the moment, the activation sequence helps you identify your three Goldmine postcode areas, and Sentinel uses those areas as part of your acquisition strategy. However, that shouldn't mean you're prevented from analysing a great opportunity simply because it sits outside those areas. I'm looking at this immediately. The direction I want to move towards is that you can add a property anywhere in the UK and Sentinel automatically pulls the relevant local market data, sales comparables and rental comparables for that particular property — rather than your appraisal being constrained by the Goldmine areas selected during activation. Your Goldmine areas remain important for focusing your sourcing activity, but they shouldn't become artificial boundaries around where you can invest. 🚀 Horizon 1 - 5 Step Roadmap I also started outlining what we're building through Horizon 1 and where Sentinel goes next. This is important for everyone to understand because what you're using today is the beginning of the platform, not the finished product. I'll be sharing more detail around the Horizon 1.5 roadmap, so please make sure you take a look at it. It will give you a much better understanding of what we're building towards and how the different pieces of Sentinel will start coming together. And keep the feedback coming. Office Hours isn't just there for me to show you how to use Sentinel. It's also where we can identify friction, challenge assumptions and make the platform better based on how you're actually using it.

Please come armed with your questions on anything to do with the buying process, including: - Strategy - Choosing your area - Sourcing - Building your sourcing machine - Finding opportunities - Appraising and progressing deals 🚀 Sentinel is LIVE Sentinel is now officially live and beginning to replace Unicorn OS across the Academy. One quick note: some of the Academy training videos still refer to Unicorn OS. These were recorded before Sentinel launched and I’ll be re-recording and updating them for Sentinel. In the meantime, don’t worry if you hear Unicorn OS mentioned — Sentinel is now the system we’re using going forward. 🛠 Technical problems with Sentinel As you start using Sentinel more, you may occasionally encounter technical glitches — particularly at this early MVP stage. If something is actually broken or not working technically, please report it through Support within the Settings section of Sentinel. That gives the development team the information they need to investigate and resolve it. For questions about how to use Sentinel, ideas, feedback or general discussion, please don't use technical support. 💻 NEW: Friday 4th September, 11am – Sentinel Office Hours Starting this Friday, we’re introducing a new weekly session: Sentinel Office Hours – every Friday at 11am. This will be our weekly get-together specifically for Sentinel. Come along to raise: - Feedback and frustrations - Usability issues - Questions about how you're using Sentinel - Technical issues you've encountered I'll also use Office Hours to show you what we're currently building, what's just been released and what's coming next on the roadmap.
