8-Week Legato Intensive Q & A is happening in 22 hours
8-Week Legato Intensive Daily Accountability Check-In
This thread is optional, but it’s usually a very good idea to check in here once you’re done for the day. Consistency is everything in a program like this, and a simple public check-in helps a lot more than most people expect. How to check in Post a comment using this format: Week X - Day X completed Example: Week 1 - Day 3 completed That’s it. No explanations needed. Just mark the work done and move on with your day. Use this thread as your running log for the full 8 weeks.
8-Week Legato Intensive Daily Accountability Check-In
Heads up on the 8-week intensives
Starting with the next intensive, all future 8-week technique programs will live inside Practice Room Pro instead of here. The current Legato intensive will finish here as planned. Nothing changes for that. If you're on the Premium tier right now, I'll add you to Pro manually so you don't miss anything. You'll keep access for as long as your subscription is active. Quick reminder: the Premium tier here closes in 3 days. If you join now at $49/month, you'll get added to Pro as well, which normally costs $99/month. That's half price for as long as you stay subscribed. After that, the only way to access future intensives is through Pro at the full rate. Premium tier closing in 3 days — heads up
Hey everyone, I wanted to give you a heads up about a change I'm making. I've been restructuring my offers to simplify everything. Going forward, I'm going to be focusing on my 12-Week Guitar Mastery Program (1-on-1 coaching) and The Practice Room Pro as the two main ways to work with me. As part of that, I'm closing the Premium tier here in this community in 3 days (Wednesday at midnight). If you've been on the fence about joining Premium and getting access to all the deep dives, courses, and the weekly live Q&A on mic/camera, this is your last chance at $49/month. After that, the only way to access that content will be through Practice Room Pro at $99/month. Anyone who's already in Premium keeps their access and their price. Nothing changes for you. If you've got any questions just drop them in the comments.

Legato Intensive Week 6 is Live!
Week 6 is live in the classroom. This week we step things up a bit. • All HammersNew 6-note variations of the 24 combinations. More notes, repeated fingers, slightly trickier timing. • Two-StringGroups of 3 and 4 with both 1-2-4 and 1-3-4 fingerings. Simple idea, but very effective for control. • Multi-StringAdd9 arpeggios (major and minor), rest stroke picking, plus new 4-note-per-string variations to improve your movement across the fretboard. This week might feel a bit tougher than the previous ones. That’s the point. Take it slow, stay relaxed, focus on accuracy. Head to the classroom and get started.

Legato Intensive Week 6 is Live!
Week 2 of the Legato Intensive is now live!
Head over to the Classroom and start working through the new material. This week builds directly on the timing and coordination you started developing in Week 1, but now the patterns become more musical and more challenging. Here is a quick overview of what you will be working on: • All Hammers We continue developing fretting hand timing with new variations of the two-finger and three-finger combinations, including moving triplet loops that shift the accent across the pattern. • Two-String Legato Eight-note Paul Gilbert–style loops (with an extra note added) that move across all string groups with eight different starting points. This is fantastic for timing and string crossing control. • Multi-String Legato Three-note-per-string sequences across multiple scale shapes, plus the chromatic variation that expands the sequence to ten notes. • Pentatonic Sequences Eight-note ascending and descending pentatonic patterns designed to smooth out your string crossings. • Paul Gilbert Style String-Skipping Arpeggios Major and minor arpeggios with wide string skips and position shifts. These are extremely usable shapes and once they start to click they open up a lot of musical possibilities. As always, each section is structured as four five-minute exercises so you can stay focused and make real progress without overthinking things. Watch the videos carefully and check the tabs. Most of the questions that usually come up are already addressed there. If anything is unclear, post in this thread and make sure to tag me so I see it. Good luck with Week 2!
