What's Most Important To Podcasters...?
Hi All,
Genuine question here as I am looking to 'crowd source' answers from people who have already made the decision to make a podcast...
What is THE MOST IMPORTANT information subject that would help you on your journey to taking your content to the next level?
The reason I ask is because - after a lot of questioning our own communities - and I have come to the realisation that one of the biggest challenges that podcasters have is 'HOW TO MONETISE'.
Would you agree?
Of course, there is a bunch of stuff around editing, recording, guests, production, marketing, syndication etc. that show creators need to know - and pay attention to - but, from the experience we have had in launching over 400 shows for clients between us, we have realised that one of the reasons that people either don't start (or don't continue) is due to not making any dosh from their pod 🤑
Without making money we don't think that people always take it seriously, without it making money it feels like an ego-centric vanity project, without it making money it is hard to justify the time, effort and energy...
What do you think? Are we bang on the money (hope you like the pun there!) or are we off the mark?
