Moodboard Scavenger Hunt is happening in 14 hours
🤎 What is your mood-board for?
In preparation for the 11th May I want you to think about your next creative project. What is it? This will be what you are creating your moodboard for. For me it is the fabric design of my next Pocket Square. When we take time to plan a project the process of creating it feels easier and the output more rewarding. A mood-board is a fun way to plan. What is yours going to be?

How I create colour combinations
1. I use a method I call 5 Colour Method (5CM). - Bold - Complementary - Neutral - Light - Dark 2. I choose the colours from a Colour Type (in your Fabric Formula - Level 5. This is normally $80 DIY). This way I know they will go together. 3. I then use a Colour Scheme to make sure I have balance. For example this 5 colour combination is: Colour Type: Autumn Colour Scheme: Split Complementary I will be sharing a bit more about this during our 10 day Moodboard Scavenger Hunt this month 11-20th May. I have also included an example of cushions that use this colour combination.

Moodboard Treasure Hunt - Coming May
Next month we are going to have a "Moodboard Treasure Hunt" We are going to create a balanced, interesting and cohesive moodboard for a project of your choice. There are 10 elements to the moodboard and we will be scavenging each one over 10 days. At the end you will have a board and a process you can reference every time you start a new creative project. More on this later.

Which colour combo suits which colour type?
Each suit a different Colour Type. Can you guess which one is? - Neutral - Summer - Autumn - - Last weekend I did a floral watercolour. Today I turned it into a repeat to go on fabric. These are some colour combinations from the Fabric Formula. (yours to do when you get to level 5)
