The Endless Nativity of Light
Hi Everyone 👋 One of my old poems The Endless Nativity of Light Life is eternal and everywhere Yet remains a quality precious, Treasured and rare. Receive the quality of openness and Know clarity, Centeredness, and know focus, Playfulness, and know joy; Receive the quality of humility And know the greatness of life. Without openness there is separation Without centeredness, interference Without playfulness, decay Without humility, the endless repetition of pain. Humility is the highest blessing ofLife; Through it the great serve the lowly And the lowly serve the great. In this way the Universe ever uplifts Itself: The endless nativity of light. With Love ❤️ Always Mark

Not Looking for the Shore Inspired by Rumi’s “The Drowning” I stopped asking the river where it’s going. The current doesn’t owe me an answer. At first I clung to every rock, wrote letters to the bank: Take me back. Now I let the cold climb my ribs. My name is dissolving like salt. They ask, Aren’t you afraid of drowning? But I’ve already died to the version of me who needed to stand on solid ground. Love is not a life raft. It’s the deep water that finally feels like home.

Perseverance
Hi Everyone 👋 I wrote a short Poem on Perseverance for @Karen Hamilton 's poetry group this morning , I hope you like it 😊 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. Don't push the door. Just keep breathing on the other side. Some mornings, getting upright is the whole practice. Some days, the path is just not lying down again. Perseverance isn't climbing. It's staying when leaving would be easier. It's washing one bowl because the next bowl isn't here yet. The wind doesn't try. It just keeps being wind. Be that kind of tired..moving, but not striving. Fall down seven times? Fine.Get up eight? Only if you want to. Sometimes the eighth time is tomorrow. And that's still perseverance. Just slower. Just softer. Still real. With Love ❤️ Always Mark

The Broken Cup after “The Cracked Mug” You don’t need to be whole to hold the wine. My heart has a hairline fracture running down its left side. In the dark, light slips through. I used to beg for mending. Now I tilt the cup just so, and what pours out isn't loss— it's the first honest drink I've ever tasted. Rumi said the wound is the place where the light enters. I say: the crack is the mouth that finally knows how to sing. With Love ❤️ Always Mark

A Poem tribute to Rumi 🙏🏻
I like many Poets including the poetry of @Karen Hamilton one of our lovely members 😊 I enjoy reading Rumi, and the following poem I wrote in honour to him, I hope you like it 🙏🏻 The Guest at My Own Door after “The Guest House” I used to sweep the hard feelings under the rug, but now I leave the door unlocked. Grief walks in without knocking, sits in my best chair, and I make tea for both of us. Joy is shyer, a flicker at the window but I’ve learned not to chase. Anger brings his loud coat, stomps the floor, yet stays to wash the dishes. Every morning I wake up as someone’s visitor. Today, I am trying to be a good host. With love ❤️ Always Mark
