Hi everyone My name is Kristin. I work with a rescue for Belgium Malinois and they get all sorts of dogs at all levels of training. I'm here to learn how to better support the fosters I bring into my home. A little background on me. I was a veterinary technician for 34yrs. I spent 10 of those as a technician in the Army, where I worked with the military police canines, the Secret Service canines. They had 95% Malinois and I fell in love with the breed. The rest of that time i spent in emergency medicine and as a surgery technician, before I retired. When the chance to foster came up, I jumped at it. So that's me in a nutshell. Hey Pack! We have added quite a few new faces in the past couple of days, so I wanted to make sure we reintroduce ourselves. We are Jenna & Jace - the husband and wife duo behind Good Woofer K9. We started this journey because one day, our dog Odin got attacked by an off-leash dog and was never the same. He was reactive, anxious, had separation anxiety to the point of self mutilation. It was bad and we had no idea how to help him. After hiring a trainer that did NOT help him at all, we decided to learn everything on our own. Over the past few years, we have learned from some of the best trainers in the country. Now, we want to train y’all. If we can do it, anybody can.
