This is one of the most sought after wild edible mushrooms - Chicken of the Woods. It doesn't have any dangerous lookalikes, but it does sometimes get confused with other orange mushrooms. The key is to always look at the underside for pores (like a sponge), make sure it is growing on wood, and pay attention to tree species (hardwood or conifer).
