Welcome!
This little community is here to teach about wild mushroom identification, with a focus on edible species. I'm making this a women's only group after experiencing lots of ridiculousness in other groups. Mushroom foraging tends to be a male-dominated world with lots of egotism, condescension, and general bad behavior. That crap ain't happening here!!
If you've been curious but also a little scared, nervous, and possibly a bit overwhelmed, this place is for you! Beginners are very welcome and encouraged to join. There's no snobbery here, no guarding of foraging secrets, and most and best of all, no judgement. Come join us, ask the questions, learn from the experts, and gain confidence in your foraging skills. With a little dedication, you'll soon be out in the woods foraging for dinner like a pro!
