forging habits is supposed to stress you out. make you uncomfortable. anxious, even. it’s not supposed to be easy. new habits, routines, thought patterns - they all move you to a new identity - one that threatens your current identity’s survival.
waking up at 6AM threatens your night owl identity. eating clean threatens your “comfort food” identity. going to the gym threatens your gamer identity.which is why they’re hard to stick to.
it’s painful - it’s supposed to be. you’re killing a part of you - but persevere - before habits crystallise into a new identity, they have to be forged. forging requires fire. fire you must be strong enough to handle.
