On Christmas Eve
Sharing this beautiful offering (written by Renata McConnell FB)
On Christmas Eve, we remember Mary—
not as a symbol placed high above us,
but as a woman who said yes while trembling.
A woman who carried the holy
without certainty,
without protection,
without proof it would all work out.
Mary teaches us this:
You don’t have to be fearless to be chosen.
You don’t have to be perfect to carry light.
You don’t have to know the outcome to say yes to love.
She held the Christ not through control,
but through trust.
Through surrender.
Through a heart wide enough to say,
“Let it be done through me.”
On this Christmas Eve, may you remember:
You, too, are a vessel of light.
You, too, are capable of birthing something sacred.
You, too, are allowed to rest in grace.
May peace wrap itself around your nervous system.
May love find you exactly where you are.
May the light you carry feel gentle tonight.
Merry Christmas Eve.
May the Mother remind you how holy your becoming truly is.
