If you’re feeling a little tender today, that makes sense. When we slow down… when we choose pleasure…what’s been carried finally asks to be seen.
Today isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about releasing who you’ve been required to be.
So many of us learned to survive by playing roles,
the strong one, the fixer, the reliable one, the one who never asks.
But roles are heavy.
And you don’t need them to be worthy anymore.
Today, we practice letting one go.
Choose one role you’re tired of playing, then sit with one or more of these prompts:
Reflection Prompts (choose what resonates):
- When did I first learn I had to play this role?
- What did this role protect me from?
- What has it cost me to keep playing it?
- Who am I afraid I’ll disappoint if I let this go?
- What might open up for me if I release it?
Then say out loud (or write):
✨ “I release this role. I choose the exhale.
If it feels safe:
Share the role you’re releasing or simply drop a 🦋 to honor the release.
