👋 Hi, my name is Dejon. I’m 25 years old and am the creator of The Acquire & Automate Lab. Life was good for me two years ago. I had a solid fleet of clients on trendwatchers.co 16 months ago, and things were going really well until one of my clients reached out and asked me a simple question: “How much do I have to pay you to put your businesses on the back burner, come in, and systemize my entire company with SOPs and AI?” At the time, I wasn't sure if it was the right move, but I decided to take the leap. Shortly after joining, I worked my way up to CTO. Over the next 12 months, I didn't just streamline operations, deploy AI systems, and build automated workflows—I also helped scale the team from 4 to over 30 people and took monthly revenue from $50k/month to over $650k/month. 💰🚀 Because we had a growth partnership agreement in place, I benefited significantly. But the business owner still made 10x what I made. That’s when it hit me: I wanted to build real, true equity ownership. Fast forward to three months ago. I was scrolling on Facebook Marketplace and noticed someone listing a franchise business for sale. At first, I thought listing a business on Facebook was weird and scrolled past it. But over the next few weeks, the listing kept showing up on my feed. Finally, I decided to message the seller. After signing an NDA, she sent over the financials and operational documents. It was a massive amount of data to digest, so I fed everything into Claude to analyze the numbers and highlight the biggest growth opportunities. 🤖📊 What Claude revealed completely blew my mind. 🤯 The business was severely underutilized, and I realized I had the exact skillset from my executive background to step in, systemize every process, integrate AI automation, delegate operations, and transform it into a true passive asset. To date, I’ve acquired two businesses using this exact model, and I plan to continue acquiring more over the coming years.

Day 1 – Looking for My First Business Acquisition
Today I took another step toward my goal of building asset-based income. I spent some time looking at small businesses for sale in my area and found two opportunities that caught my attention: 1. A dryer vent cleaning business for $2,500 that includes equipment, website, Google Business Profile, phone number, branding, and some existing leads. 2. A junk removal business for $20,000 that includes a 7x14 trailer, equipment, website, 40 five-star reviews, and claims to currently generate around $800–$1,200 per week. Instead of just looking at the asking price, I started learning how to evaluate the actual business: revenue, profit, expenses, equipment value, customer acquisition, Google reviews, lead flow, and how long it would take to recover my investment. My biggest takeaway today is that I should not rush to buy anything just because it looks like a good opportunity. I need to verify the numbers first and understand exactly what I am buying. My next step is to talk with the sellers, ask for proof of the numbers, and continue comparing opportunities until I find one that makes financial sense. Goal: Buy my first profitable small business and grow it into another source of income.

About me
👋 Hi everyone, my name is Wisdom. I’m 25 years old and currently living in Utah. I work in IT/technical support and I’m also continuing my education in technology and cybersecurity. One of my biggest goals right now is to build income outside of just working a regular job. I want to learn how to identify good small businesses, acquire the right one, build systems around it, and eventually have businesses that can operate without me having to do everything myself. I’ve already started putting what I’m learning into practice. Today I looked into a dryer vent cleaning business for sale for $2,500 and a junk removal business for $20,000. I’m learning to look beyond the asking price and understand the revenue, expenses, lead flow, assets, reviews, and actual profitability before making a decision. I’m excited to learn from Dejon and everyone here, share my progress, and hopefully make my first acquisition. 💪🏾
