Hello Mi Gente!
Hey TLS community! 👋🏽 I'm Chastity, Virtual Assistant with 15+ years working with small businesses, contractors, property managers, charities, project managers, and founders on the boring but critical backend stuff that keeps a business running. I'm really excited I found this community. And would love to have some conversations with you all. Ways that I can add value to 2 groups of people: If you're building and starting to drown in admin stuff — You didn't start a business to JUST answer emails, chase invoices, and manage your own calendar. If you're thinking about hiring a VA but don't know where to start - let's talk. I'll help you figure out exactly what to hand off first and what it should cost. And I have a community of VAs ready to take on new clients! If you're thinking about offering VA services — Maybe you have admin skills from a corporate background and you're wondering if you can turn that into a remote business. I run a community called Do the Boring Work specifically for women building sustainable VA businesses. If that's on your radar - let's talk. Either way, I'm happy to jump on a quick call, no obligation ofc, just a convo with someone who's been in this space for a long time. I look forward to getting to know every one of you.

Hello Mi Gente!
Good Morning!
Hello community! I hope your week is off to a great start! Every week, I'm more inspired by what we're building together. This community is growing, but what's becoming even more clear is that you are the movement. Your skills, your experience, your network, and your willingness to help one another are what make this community special. I'm already hearing stories of members doing business together, making introductions, finding mentors, and joining each other's advisory boards. That's exactly what a healthy entrepreneurial ecosystem looks like. Let's keep the momentum going. Introduce yourself to someone new. Reach out with a specific ask. Offer your expertise to another founder. Make one meaningful connection this week. No one is coming to save us. We have to show up for each other—and that's exactly what this community is doing. Let's keep building. ¡Saludos! David Favela Founder, The Latino Startup
I QUIT
That's right.. In less than 2 hours I'll be resigning from my company I've been at for 5 years. I helped them from series A > $3b during that time. And now, its coming to an end.. I've decided to go all in on my "side hustle" and make it into the reality I've been envisioning. I am nervous. I have many "what ifs" going into this.. But also I kind of love that feeling and I'm sure I'm in good company! My name is Adam and I am the founder of vend/r. A modern vending machine company that's been bringing snacks and vibes since '25- located in VIsta, CA. Currently we're at 1 location in VIsta City Hall and plan on expanding to many different locations around North County San Diego. I am a creative and have always approached things in a different way and am excited to change the industry as well. I'm excited to have met David and looking forward to connecting with mi gente as well. Ultimately, my life goal is to show my kids how to build a business, generational wealth, and something good for the community that they live in.
Do ya agree with this advice?
My Claude daily to-do list reminded me of my monthly email check in [I really love this thing. its one of my favorite and most used creations with AI] I forgot I even scheduled that in. So happy I did. Cause I never check my email analytics. So we did... and after breaking everything down.... it left me with this "Once your open rate is consistently above 20%, then talk about increasing frequency." I'm emailing average once a week. More if we have events and I send reminders. Do you agree with this advice?

Youth Entrepreneurial Workshop?
Hi everyone, I believe our young adults represent one of the greatest untapped sources of entrepreneurial talent in our community. They don't need all the answers—they need a story to believe in, a framework to get started, and a community that believes in them. I'd like to host a free 4–5 hour weekend workshop for anyone 18+ focused on developing an entrepreneurial mindset, exploring the opportunities being created by AI and emerging industries, and taking the first steps toward building a business. Before I put it together, I'd love your feedback. Does this resonate with you? Would you support it? Would you encourage a young adult in your life to attend? If you're interested in mentoring, speaking, or simply helping make it happen, I'd love to hear from you. If we're serious about creating the next generation of founders, we have to invest in them today. David Favela
