The Lab: Power Hour! is happening in 40 hours

For the Forseeable Future
Hello friends, As you may know, I suffered an MS relapse recently. I was hoping I would be better now, but I have not recovered. I do not know how long it will take me to get back to a workable baseline. Mostly, right now, I sleep. As soon as I know anything about my condition and when it might improve, I will update this thread. Power Hour is canceled for the forseeable future, and I am sorry. I will miss you all. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes. This is not how I prefer to work, but my body has made itself clear. Feel free to message me with any questions you may have about how we are going to go forward, and I will field them as efficiently as I can. Thank you for your patience. Love, Kristin

What Sucks Today?
Let's complain together! What are you going through? A couple little rules to keep it effective: 1. Say what you need. Posting a complaint? Say up front whether you want advice or just want to be heard. Sometimes you just need to say the damn thing out loud. 2. Follow the lead. Responding to someone else's post? Hold the advice unless they asked for it. 3. No Sadness Olympics. Every complaint is valid. Nobody's handing out medals for Most Miserable.
Still Alive!
Hello lab rats, I was hospitalized for a few days last week, but I’m back home and continuing to recover. I am gradually feeling better, and I hope to get back to Power Hour and other work in the next few weeks. How are y’all??
Short Recovery Break
Hi all, I’m having an MS relapse, so I’m going to get steroids each morning for the next three days, which should help a lot! I say this because I will very likely be hit-or-miss on Power Hours. When I hop on, I’ll post on here so y’all can join!
"Productivity" can mean different things every day.
I'm having a lame-o MS flare, but I hopped on Power Hour today anyway. Sometimes productivity is about "traditional" work, but for me, a lot of times it's about taking my meds, making my body as comfortable as it can get, and expressing myself. Yes, "put on socks" is on my list of to-dos. Why? Because if nobody's watching me, I will often just sit there with cold feet and be miserable! Same with pain meds. You read that right -- sometimes the effort of getting up and taking a pill seems too daunting, even though I'm hurting badly! Power Hour helps because when someone witnesses me promise to do a thing, I'm so much more likely to get it done. Peer pressure CAN be used for good, and today it was. So thank you @John McKellar for being with me today so I could put socks on and take my meds. I feel better now.
