Hey Juice Fam! Hope your week is starting off great. Wanted to share a story with you about my 1st cleanse. It was back in 2016 and my goal was to do just 3 days to see what all this hype was about with juice cleansing. At that point I had already made the transition to 100% plant based and was feeling better than I had ever felt in my life. I wanted to see how far I could take it so a juice cleanse was next on the menu. So I started... Day 1 was a little rough as my body was yelling at me (mainly in my stomach). It was like it was saying, where is the food. We missed our 9am breakfast, 1-2pm lunch and 6-7pm dinner reservations and my body was letting me know about it. I was not giving up that easy though and made it through that 1st night. I woke up for day 2 and something felt different. I didn't have as many eye boogers that morning, I didn't feel as groggy and my GUT! It felt so clean and empty which for some reason felt really good that morning. Fast forward to day 3 and I was feeling 3 times as good! I know crazy right? I was feeling so good that I was starting to think about going longer but wasn't too confident... that is until I heard about ketosis kicking in after day 3! So KETOSIS is when your body switches from using sugar as fuel to fat and with a limited amount of sugar intake on a cleanse your body will make this switch in about 3 days. With that being said, I ended up going for 2 more days and it was the most empowering 2 days of my life! I felt like broke through so many barriers mentally, physically & spiritually. I never would have thought I could go 1 day without eating let alone 5. Not only that but in the past, I thought I would have died without eating solid food for 5 days. I learned so much from this cleanse and it changed how I viewed the world. Nowadays, cleanses are super common so we're all aware of them and how powerful they are but I wasn't sure back then and I am a personal testimonial and can tell you IT WAS WORTH IT!
