BIG CHANGE **ALERT**
Greetings, filmmakers, I wanted to share an important update about the future of this community. Beginning June 15th, this group will become a paid community. The entry point will be intentionally low because my goal is not to create a barrier, but to create commitment, momentum, and real value. At the heart of this community will be a deeper focus on helping filmmakers move their projects forward in practical, tangible ways. That means more live webinars, training sessions, tools, discounts, and access to resources designed to help you solve the real business problems that often keep films from getting made. As a member, you will receive free or significantly discounted access to select webinars and trainings. When I offer webinar add-ons, members will also receive upgraded access whenever possible. I will also be including access to the Concept Compass ecosystem, which is designed to help filmmakers with some of the most important parts of the journey, including: Validating your film idea or script Estimating potential pre-sales and market value Finding managers, agents, and industry representatives Expanding your investor pool Strengthening your overall film package Members will also receive significant discounts on filmmaking services I offer, including pitch decks, websites, business setup support, budgets, film audits, AI sizzle reel trailers, crowdfunding strategy, and more. For those who want deeper support, I will also make myself available for more hands-on services, including consulting, project packaging, crowdfunding management, and even conversations around producing select projects. My goal is simple: I want this community to become a place where filmmakers receive real help, real tools, real strategy, and real momentum. What I do not want is another dormant online group where people join, disappear, and nothing meaningful happens. I want this to be a serious, encouraging, action-oriented space for filmmakers who want to move forward. I also fully understand that moving to a paid model may not be the right fit for everyone, and that is completely okay. If this community is not solving a real pain point for you, I genuinely respect that. My desire is to focus my time and energy on serving the filmmakers who are ready for this kind of support and who see value in what we are building together.

We can help you cross the Filmmaker's Chasm!
Feeling stuck with your film project? Sometimes the problem is not the script. It is not the idea. It is not even your talent. Sometimes you are stuck because the business side of the project is unclear. Who is the audience? What is the offer? Is the pitch strong enough? Is the budget realistic? Is there a clear funding or distribution path? That is where my team can help. We will audit where you are right now and help you identify what is working, what is missing, and what needs to be fixed next. For a limited time, we are running a 50% off Filmmaker Audit sale. BUT for Skool Community members, I am offering a $99 price (normal price is $250). Get unstuck. Get clarity. Move forward. Sign up here: https://ronnewcomb.com/

Film Marketing and Understanding Your Audience
Most indie filmmakers don’t have a marketing problem - they have an audience clarity problem. In this episode of The Indie Coach Podcast, we talk about why filmmakers need to know who their film is for before they shoot, raise money, or build a distribution plan. Because “my film is for everyone” is not a strategy. We cover why audience clarity affects your title, poster, logline, trailer, investor pitch, and overall marketing plan. You can check out Jordan's site: FlmLnk Bottom line:A great film is not enough. You need to know who it’s for, why they care, and how you’re going to reach them.
