I woke up on Sunday morning, June 22, 2031 in Cayucos California. It's so amazing to sit on my patio and enjoy a cup of coffee with Monica at the home we just purchased. Our kids, their spouses and grandkids are all still sleeping as it is only 6:00 in the morning. Listening to the waves crashing while looking toward the horizon I realized I had hit the lottery. Some of my biggest dreams have come true- our family's vacation home and my children still wanting to hang out with me as adults thinking their pop is still pretty cool.
Monica and I talked on the patio about how wonderful it would be to do this every summer. I would love to make our family beach house a happy place for all of us to meet, relax, and enjoy each other's company. As we started cooking breakfast, the smell of bacon began to permeate throughout the house and wake everyone up. Monica and my faith has become so strong and it has been nice to see our children now working on their own. We all sat around the dining table eating a traditional breakfast of bacon, eggs, potatoes, and, of course, salsa for Monica. After church we took a walk on the beach to find sand dollars and seashells. Winding down from the long day, Monica watched the last episode of Grey's Anatomy while I drifted off in my recliner. Listening to everyone else sitting around the fire and catching up on life made me so happy and made me feel complete.
On Monday morning while making coffee, I received a call from Sequoia Painting’s General Manager letting me know we were awarded the biggest hospital project the company has ever had. Finally, Kaweah Delta will have some competition as we will be painting the new hospital that is being built in Visalia. I asked the office to please arrange for a celebratory dinner to celebrate the new contract signed.
