Start Here 👇 Introduce Yourself
Welcome to The Excavation Academy. This community is about how the work actually gets done — pipe, prep, compaction, grades, safety, and the details that separate clean jobs from call-backs. No influencer crap. No textbook theory. Just real-world excavation and civil knowledge. 👇 Drop a comment and introduce yourself: Where are you working (city / region)? What do you do right now? (laborer, operator, foreman, owner, etc.) What do you want to get better at this year? This group will grow based on real questions and real problems from the field. Let’s build it properly.
To every founding member of The Excavation Academy —
When you joined, you joined before this was anything. Before the curriculum was complete, before the tools were built, before anyone knew what this was going to become. You showed up anyway. That means something. As of today T.E.A. is officially a paid platform. New members joining from this point forward pay to be here. You do not. Your access is free. Forever. That was the deal and the deal stands. Tiers 2 through 4 are in development and rolling out shortly. If you want to bring your crew in at a founding rate before it closes — message me directly. Thank you for being first. — Cody , The Excavation Academy

99th member !!!!! Welcome !
Please join me in welcoming Mike Callison to The Excavation Academy! Mike is the founder of Rolling Rock Excavation based out of South East Texas, and he's here to grow his knowledge and take his business to the next level. It takes a certain level of self-awareness and commitment to invest in your education while building a company from the ground up — and that is something worth recognizing. Mike, the training, the tools, and this community are here to support you every step of the way. We're glad to have you with us. And Mike — we are continuously rolling out new training modules and tools to better serve our members. As a business owner, your perspective is exactly the kind of feedback we value. If there's something you'd like to see, a gap you notice, or an idea that could make this community more valuable for operators and owners alike, we want to hear it. This platform grows best when it grows with input from the people using it.
Alberta oil and gas civil earthworks
Hello Everyone! I've been working in Earthworks for 10 years in Western Canada. I started as a grades man, made my way into GPS systems. I went to school at NAIT for the Construction Engineering Technology program. Once I was done, I got back as a project manager in the earthworks world and started my consultancy, doing projects for all sorts of excavation and land clearing contractors. My experience spans from supervision, equipment operation, and project management on site. I spent lots of time inside oil and gas facilities. I have extensive water-sewer experience as well. My father owns a small water-sewer company in northern Alberta. I'm looking to connect and grow my network. Follow me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/william-thibault-subtrack/ Reach out if you have any questions. I would love to get involved in this community. I left the industry in December to start a new venture, hopefully to help everybody in the earthworks industry. Let me know if you want to hear more about it. It's a life changer.
