🚧 New Module Released: Chapter 6 – Excavation Safety
We’ve just published Chapter 6: Excavation Safety inside the classroom. This section covers some of the most important things every ground worker needs to understand before stepping into or around a trench — including trench hazards, protective systems, PPE, emergency response, and cave-in prevention. Excavation safety isn’t just theory — it’s knowledge that keeps crews going home at the end of the day. If you’re working around trenches, this is a must-know section of the course. @Robert Wormsley Robert — welcome to the Academy 👊 Love that background. Water, sewer, mainlines, tie-ins, road build… that’s real civil work right there. That’s the backbone of what we’re building this curriculum around. We’re going to be diving deep into pipe grades, slope math, reading stakes, road building fundamentals, soil conditions — the stuff that actually makes or breaks a job in the field. If you’ve got experience in all that, you’re going to fit in well here. As we build this out weekly, jump in anytime and share how you’ve been doing things on your jobs. That field knowledge is gold for the guys coming up behind you. Glad to have you in here. 👊

I’m glad you had info on lasers. I learned how to grade with a peep scope and a pencil and paper. I was embarrassed to ask how to use one since I’ve been doing this for so long. Now I know how to use both.

That's really awesome man. Easy to take a rotater home and practice. And peeps scopes are just like builders levels and theodolites , he's they are stationary on a tripod
