The fastest way to calm your mind is to change the way you exhale.
When you make your exhale slightly longer than your inhale, it sends a signal to your body that you are safe enough to relax. Try breathing in for a count of four and out for a count of six. Do this for five breaths right now. Afterward, share one word that describes how you feel.

Body & Safety Basics
If your body does not feel safe, your mind will keep looping the same thoughts no matter how much mindset work you try. Your nervous system stores beliefs through lived experiences. When it feels unsafe, it will keep running the same protection patterns again and again. That is why before we change thoughts, we first help the body feel safe. Today, try looking slowly around your space. Let your eyes land on five things you enjoy seeing. Take your time. Let your breathing settle. What is one thing you noticed? Share it below.
