that Still Means Something to YOU.
What once lit us up might have served its purpose, a capture of a moment in time, a version of us that needed that moment.
And that’s okay.
Growth means allowing what’s meaningful to evolve.
take a quiet moment to notice what still feels alive in your heart… and what might be ready to be released with love.
🕯️ Reflection prompt:
“What in my life once mattered deeply but no longer feels aligned — and what new meaning wants to take its place?”
For me it is:
- 🖤 Black & White Heart: This piece was created during a time of deep darkness and confusion. Back then, much of my art lived only in shades of black and white, a reflection of how life felt.
- 🪷 My first mural — painted for Homes of Harmony in a small village near Jilin, China. The space was run by a kind-hearted French couple who opened their home as a non-profit sanctuary. Creating their meditation room felt like painting peace into the walls.
- 🎨 Collage with My Students: During my time living in China, I often felt disjointed and out of place. Art became my anchor. This collage was one of many pieces I made alongside my high school students while teaching art for six months — a reminder that creativity can always connect us, no matter where we are in the world.
