I’m off to fish Barston Lakes on Saturday! It’s not my preferred venue, but any day spent fishing is better than a day at work. How would you describe your perfect lake? Mine would be one that is fairly wild, few anglers and a low stock of old Carp.

This isn't my preferred type of venue, but there's no doubt it's a great place to visit for a good hit / practicing casting/ trying different techniques etc etc...I've not fished it in the Autumn/Winter, but i'm thinking I might keep it nice and simple/quick and use the fantastic method ball wrapped around the ledger! Maybe have one rod roaming with a big ol' 22mm bottom bait on the off-chance of one of the bigger residence finding it 🤞🤣 last time I was there with my fishing husband Darren Pace, we were exhausted by the end of the match, it felt like you couldn't keep a line in the water because you were getting so many takes! I wan't enjoying it much at all to be honest, but each to their own! 🤣 one of the many things I love about fishing is that it is 100 personal!

@John Stevenson Jock, do you have a lake bed map for Funtley? I've been chatting with Bob and he said the club funded a lake bed map of Sinah! Awesome! Did they do the same for you? Xx
