❌🔥❌🔥 CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING ❌🔥❌🔥
“Lighting a flame in your bivvy can = death. I’m a Technician in the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Ambulance Service. I’ve seen what carbon monoxide does. You won’t feel yourself ‘getting sleepy’. You won’t wake up gasping. You won’t get a warning. You’ll just drift off thinking you’re cosy and warm… while a colourless, odourless gas quietly shuts your brain and organs down. No drama. No second chance. Then it’s your family getting the knock at the door, trying to understand how a night’s fishing turned into a funeral. All for a bit of extra heat. These are the hard facts so you can make an informed decision: 🔥 Any flame in a closed bivvy can kill you. ❌ Cracking a door or vent is NOT enough. ❌ ‘I’ve done it for years’ means you’ve been lucky, nothing more. Lighting a flame in your bivvy = death. Don’t do it. Make sure every angler you know gets the message, talk about it. Chat. Carp. Community.

🎣 Welcome to Let’s Talk Carp Fishing 🎣
Where carp anglers talk — the catches, the blanks, the buzz, and the camaraderie. If you’re here, you love carp fishing as much as the rest of us — the late nights, the misty mornings, the adrenaline when the alarm screams… and yes, even the soul-crushing blanks and the bank-side disasters we pretend never happened. This isn’t a “how-to” classroom and it’s not an ego arena. It’s a down-to-earth space for passionate anglers to: ✅ Swap honest stories from the bank ✅ Share photos, tactics, and lessons learned (even from the blanks — they teach us the most) ✅ Talk recent videos, podcasts, and topics in the carp scene ✅ Have a laugh at bank fails and celebrate every win, big or small ✅ Build camaraderie with anglers who get it Old hands. New hands. Weekend warriors. Lifers. If you love carp fishing, you’re in the right place. Now — let’s get everyone talking. 👇 Tell us: 🎣 Your favourite water 📸 Your proudest catch or your funniest bank fail 🪱 And if you were stuck fishing one bait forever… what’s it going to be? See my own answers in the Comments below! Jump in — don’t lurk. This community works because we talk. Grab a brew, settle in, and let’s talk carp.
Barston Lakes
I’m off to fish Barston Lakes on Saturday! It’s not my preferred venue, but any day spent fishing is better than a day at work. How would you describe your perfect lake? Mine would be one that is fairly wild, few anglers and a low stock of old Carp.

2025 Sandown carp show
