Care work has incredible moments, but it also comes with difficult situations. This week’s reflection: What challenge did you face on shift this week? It could be something like: • A difficult conversation • Behaviour that was hard to manage • A situation that left you unsure what the best approach was • A moment that tested your patience or confidence If you feel comfortable sharing, what did you take away from the experience? UK Care & Support Workers, it's time for the first Tuesday weekly discussion. Take a peek at the following questions: - How do you respond when a family member of a person you support speaks to you disrespectfully? - What phrases help you stay calm but remain firm? - What's your go-to disengagement or reset phrase when tensions rise? Offer your advice and guidance to your fellow peers in the comments and take time to learn from each other. I'll update with my thoughts shortly!
