You're first. The beta is open, and it's free.
I told you the Board Room gets it before anybody. Here it is. It goes on my socials after you've had it. The MIXSTEIN beta is open to anyone who qualifies. It's free while it's a beta. And you don't need a call with me to get it running. There's an install page with a video I recorded on a clean Mac, start to finish. About ten minutes. Who qualifies right now: Ableton Live Suite, or Standard with Max for Live, on an Apple Silicon Mac. That's wave one, and you can have it today. Logic, Studio One, Pro Tools, PC, Intel: you're wave two. Lock your spot anyway and you hear first. Nothing to pay either way. What you're stepping into: put it on the mix bus and it reads the whole session. Not the words you typed. The session. It names what's fighting, with the numbers, tells you why, and makes the move in Ableton's own devices on your track. Then it goes after the vocal the way my hand does. 37 cuts on one take, and it found 16 of my 18 within milliseconds. On price: I'm a new company and this isn't a premier product yet, so I'm not charging like one. Founding members lock a spot now and keep that price for life. Nothing is charged while it's a beta. Installing the beta? This is the one place for install questions. Post what you see on screen, word for word, plus your Mac (M1, M2, M3 or M4) and your Live version. I answer here in public so the next person doesn't have to ask. Start with the install page and the video: mixstein.com/install Three things that fix most installs: 1. Quit Live before you run the installer. 2. In Terminal it's the word bash, one space, then drag the file in. Hit Return once, at the end. 3. AbletonMCP not in the Control Surface list? Your User Library lives somewhere else. The fix is on the install page. — DSG

Mixing technique
Hey guys, I am wondering are you mixing with headphones or with monitors? I do that with headphones, but when I go to a studio its always sound better. Unfortunately its so expensive and at my apartment I cannot mix loud so I need to use my headphones. Is that even possible to mix just with headphones?
