Perfection
I just had an interesting conversation about a project I was working on with a great friend. I was saying that I wanted to add some guitar and planned on asking someone I knew. He asked if I looked 👀 into my Kontakt library and we started dissecting it and we both agreed that even though we could make them pass….however they are too perfect which makes it unrealistic…..but the real human input is the true perfection because of the subtle imperfections. So in my eyes human perfection is the truest perfection because of their subtle imperfections!!! What do you all think!!!! 🤔

You need just the right amount of Imperfection. That's when it becomes Perfect.

@Muse Theartist Technically right may be correct. But too perfect, like perfectly pitched vocals or flawless timing, violates the 'Laws of Human imperfection.' "Just a little bit will do ya," is Perfect.

Thank you for the add and hello everyone
How's it going everyone, I just wanted to take a quick sec and thank @TouchTone Dsg for the add to the group and to also introduce myself to everyone. My name is MUSE i'm a mx engineer | producer | recording artist currently based in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. I've been apart of music for coming up to 2 decades and some change now. However, irregardless of what I've learned over the years, I've emptied my cup and am looking forward to learning from everyone.

I Like it here. But I will soon be moving to Michigan US to be closer to my Daughter. You are the 1st I have met who is in Zimbabwe. I have been working with a young female singer in South Africa. I work with a lot of Artists from around the world, mostly Europe, but several in India, and one in Japan. Glad we've touched Bases.

Right on man... Not just answering My questions, but you got the exact answers that I wanted to hear. A Mixing Plugin or an AI tool that is designed by a mix engineer, & producer. You won't need to do a survey to find out what we all are thinking, cause you are thinking just like us. Handling all the grunt work is my key BUTTON. Let us get on with the Artistic creation. @TouchTone Dsg I just finished a recording session with a client of mine and am about to get into the mix. I'm wondering, would Mixstien be able to get into the more tedious tasks like vocal editing? The comping, clip gaining the vocals, adding fades where need be etc...I ask because in and as much as gain staging is a bore of a job, I believe that vocal editing is also pretty high up there when prepping a session for mixing.

Following along with the same thread -> I'm working with several Vocal Performers that send me Vocal tracks which are great in the performance, but sometimes have a big blooper, or generally it can be just a few little recording bugs like background noise, Pops hums, and the like. The obvious answer is to send it back for a re-work, but in some cases the final produce will be only a demo, and in the essence of speed and just to get the demo done is the objective. I too, would be looking for a faster and simplified method of getting the track editing done. Can Mixstien be made so that it can work in systems other than a DAW. for example: in iZtope RX pro, Melodyne etc. or within a DAW using these as Plugins?

Hey there @TouchTone Dsg I'm a Songwriter and artist, not so much a mix-engineer, although I have been Mixing for over a decade, (seems to be a necessary evil). My Skills are in the Creative areas, 30 years self taught in Music theory, Arrangement, and working with Artists. I have over 50 co-writers that are working with me, and hundreds of songs. I work with a lot of artists that have a very novice level of Recording, Mixing and Production skills. I have found that most artist-types just want to get on with the creative parts, rather than learn those technically difficult 'mixing and production' parts of the process. And they want even less to spend their time on admin, business, finance, and promotion. I like the way you are building this as an AI tool rather than a 'Push Button' final solution.
