Our first Saturday Scene Study with Stephen was a rewarding session, and we’re ready to go again. is already in, so we need three more actors to complete the line-up. Scene study is where the real growth happens. It’s the closest thing to an audition without the pressure of a job on the line, and the place to stretch, take risks, and find out what you’re truly capable of, in a safe enviroment.
The scene is written for you
We'll write each scene tailored around the actors taking part and the kind of role you’ve been wanting to play. This is your chance to step into the part you’d love to be cast in and get live feedback on it from Claire and myself.

Head to the Classroom and watch our first Scene Study with Stephen. You’ll see the whole process: how the scene is played, how the notes land, and how the work shifts in the moment.
The format
Four actors, paired into two scenes. Just like a real audition, you won’t rehearse with your scene partner beforehand. You’ll meet the scene together on the day, so come ready to listen and play off whatever they give you. Before the session, check the Self-Tape Survival Kit in the Classroom and get your framing, lighting and sound set up as well as you can.
Only put your name down if you can be fully prepared: off book as best you can, choices made, ready to play.
Your scene partner is counting on you.
To claim a spot, comment with your name plus the following:
- The type of role you’d love to play
- Genre (drama, thriller, comedy, period, etc.)
- Your playing age
- Any accent you’d like to use
- A role you’ve never been cast as but know you could nail
The first three to comment with their details get the spots.
Not performing? Come and watch. Some of the best lessons come from watching other actors work and hearing the notes land.
