AS PROMISED: YOUR ACTOR'S RESET WORKBOOK IS HERE
Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight. Here, as promised, is The Actor's Reset workbook, attached to this post. It's your 25 days to ready: one small task a day, from now to 30 November, so you walk into 2027 with the business side of your career sorted. Inside you'll find: → Your elevator pitch, in your own voice, in 10, 30 and 60 seconds → A headshot audit, and how to brief a photographer → Your CV, showreel and self-tape set-up → Your digital presence, including your The Actors Copilot profile → Agents: who to approach, and an email that works → Money, admin and your three goals for 2027 → 24 prompts to copy straight into the 24/7 acting coach How to use it: 1. Download the file and save it to your desktop. 2. Double-click to open it in Chrome or Safari. 3. Fill it in as you go. Your answers save on your computer, so open the same file each day. 4. When you've finished, press Save my finished workbook at the end, and your PDF saves to your computer. Missed the workshop? The replay is below. We really urge you to watch the replay before you start the workbook. It explains the thinking behind each section, and you'll get far more out of it. A quick fact check from the session: we mentioned around 3,000 acting agencies in the UK. Having checked, the real figure is closer to 1,300 across every type: theatrical, commercial, voice, children's and extras. That's still a lot of doors, which is exactly why research beats volume. Find the 10 to 15 that genuinely fit you, and start there. Tip: start your 14-day trial of the app on Saturday and give your personal DNA 30 minutes. The prompts work so much better when the coach knows who you are. Tell us in the comments when you've done Day 1. We'd love to cheer you on. Your acting career is yours to build. You don't have to build it alone. Tracey and Claire ❤️

Being able to attend The Actors Reset has been a fun resource to grow as an actor. Being involved in a community I know is safe to make mistakes, to ask questions, and when I log off, I get the feeling I got something worth learning. Thank you to Tracey, Claire, Maurice, Nayel's Mama, & Stephen.:-)
🎬 WHAT AN EXTRAORDINARY MASTERCLASS! THANK YOU, BONNIE RODINI! ❤️
What an evening! And judging by the incredible feedback from our community, we weren’t the only ones who came away feeling inspired! A HUGE thank you to Bonnie Rodini for joining us LIVE FROM THE COCKPIT and being so extraordinarily generous with the extra time, knowledge and experience. almost 2hrs! As an Emmy-nominated casting director, Bonnie gave us invaluable insight into the casting process, what casting directors are really looking for, auditions, self-tapes and the realities actors face in today’s industry. But we went so much further! 🎬 INDEPENDENT FILMMAKING — Bonnie shared her experience as a filmmaker, including her award-winning feature Good Life, and why actors should be taking control of their own creative futures. 🎭 THE CHANGING INDUSTRY — Where is film and television heading? What opportunities are emerging, and how can actors adapt rather than wait for the industry to come knocking? 📱 THE RISE OF VERTICAL DRAMA — An industry experiencing extraordinary growth, opening up new possibilities for actors, filmmakers and storytellers. 🎥 CASTING & AUDITIONS — Practical, honest advice from someone who has spent years on the other side of the casting table. 💡 CREATING YOUR OWN OPPORTUNITIES — Perhaps one of the most important messages of the evening. Don’t sit around waiting for permission to create. Get out there and MAKE SOMETHING! And through it all, Bonnie was wonderfully open, honest, funny and encouraging. This is exactly why we created The Actors Copilot.

Thank you so much Tracy and Claire for creating a safe space to meet Casting Director Bonnie Rodini:-) my biggest take away was Bonnie couldn't stress it enough about staying connected and not being isolated in this industry. I know for me, when I try to do things on my own because my introvert might kick in or I'm embarrassed to ask for help this is a reminder that we are on the same journey just different ways in getting there:-) Until the next one:-)

I want to talk to you today about the single greatest advantage you have as an actor, and it is the one most of you have been quietly taught to hide. It is your life. Everything you have lived through, every loss, every love, every humiliation and every quiet triumph. All of it is sitting inside you right now, and it is the richest material you will ever have access to. Casting is not looking for a perfect, polished, untouched performer. They are looking for a human being who has actually lived, because that is who the camera believes and what makes your audience lean in. Claire will tell you that the actors who stay with casting long after the tape has ended are almost never the slickest ones. They are the ones who brought something real, something only they could have brought, because it came from a life only they have lived. And here is what I most need the older actors among you to hear, and anyone who came to this later than they wish they had. Your age is not a problem to be managed. It is not something to apologise for or disguise. There is no age limit on talent, and there is certainly no age limit on truth. Every year you have been on this earth is another year of material the twenty-two-year-old simply does not have yet. That is not a disadvantage. That is your edge. I can say this to you with my whole heart, because I did not return to acting until I was 60. I came to it during lockdown, with a whole lifetime already behind me, and that lifetime is not something I carry into the room in spite of my age. It is the very thing I bring with me. Everything I had lived before I ever stepped in front of a camera is exactly what lets me tell the truth in front of one now. And in a world that is changing fast, where more and more can be automated and imitated, this matters more than it ever has. Your specific, lived, human experience is the one thing that can never be copied, faked, or generated. It is yours alone. No one else can be you, and that is precisely why someone, one day, will need exactly you.

I love this. Thank you for gently reminding me that there is no age limit on truth. That is beautifully expressed.
