The illusion of freelance copywriting
I made this post just to make one idea clear.
Many copywriters newbies Think that copywritings is just writing, your work is just write email or sales page or any type of ad copy.
IT IS NOT!
Of course writing and your skills in persuasive type of writing is a key skill in it but it is not the only case.
There is very essential skill you need to have and know to be a real copywriting and to avoid the illusion of freelance copywriting.
Which is ...
Marketing.
You need to understand the concept of marketing and its domains and you need to be good at it.
Maybe I will talk about how to be good in digital marketing in another post.
But here is the key formula.
Skills in persuasive writing+skills in digital marketing= copywriting.
and i want to add two more things:
1)you learn them in a day and it takes you a life time to be the best at them.
2) the more you add technical skills to them the more you gonna thank me, graphic design, video editing, web development...all of them not necessary in your journey as a copywriter, but they very very helpful.
