My name is Ruzeth and I’m from South Africa. After graduating early end of 2026, I decided to take this year and build my acting, voice, & writing skills. I’ve taken several short courses this year in acting, screenwriting, modeling, fiction writing, and mindset/psychology. I also just signed up for a pop music songwriting course so that I can understand what makes pop music tick (i.e. lyrics and melodies) and write hit music. Before the end of the year, I aim to finish my first screenplay and sign with an acting agent in South Africa & the US. From thereon, my main goal for 2027 will be producing my first low budget feature film so that I can enter the film industry rooms with acting & writing/producing experience and credibility instead of waiting around for an opportunity. I’ve always been very sensitive to people’s emotions/energy so my intuition, combined with my natural interest in psychology, human behavior, languages, and storytelling has honed my ability to write deep, interesting characters and narrative conflicts. Additionally I have always invested time into understanding how and why I think or feel the way I do, so I find that I’m often able to help people around me in asking the right questions that would help them solve for the root problems as opposed to mere symptoms. Finally, I have a solid understanding of good branding and marketing. During my senior year of college, I created a brand manual, marketing plan, and social media content for an early stage film studio. If you’re working in these fields, I’d be more than happy to connect and help in whatever way I can. I’m currently looking for screenwriter friends with which to exchange scripts for reading and feedback. I also want to build relationships with casting directors, acting agents, and film producers so that I know how to better position myself in the film industry (both in South Africa & the USA). That said, I’m open to connecting with people in other industries too because I enjoy learning about different business models and crafts, and I believe that the knowledge we exchange cross-disciplines are just as life-changing as that exchanged amongst peers in the same industry.
